If anyone's looking for a solution for licensing Sublime Text!

Here goes an easy tutorial on how to register, Sublime Text Version 3.2.2, Build 3211

• Go to https://hexed.it/
• Click on "Open file" and select "sublime_text.exe" executable file. [This 'sublime_text.exe' file should be located at C:\Program Files\Sublime Text 3]
• Go to "Search" and in "Search for" field, search for "97 94 0D" and click "Search now" button.
• One result will appear below, click on it.
• If you see "97 94 0D", change this values with "00 00 00".
• Then click on "Export" to save and download your new file on your computer. Then replace it with the old file.
• Now open Sublime Text and just insert serial below and it will work fine.

To edit the 'hosts' file, first copy the file from here 'C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc' to somewhere else on your computer. Edit with any text editor then replace the newly edited file with the original one using administrative privileges.

Wrong. I use Linux and by me it worked perfectly. You had probably haven't followed the instruction ;-)

That's the effect of not adding the given lines into the "hosts" file before adding the license. Try to follow the instruction next time ;-)

In my repository, avaliable under the address: https://github.com/mdziczkowski/sublime_3-non_commercial I had added an already pre-registered for not commercial usage version of Sublime 3 (portable)

The only things are needed to be done after extracting the dowloaded from my repo archive, is to follow the simple instruction I had wrote in the "crack" folder.

In the "crack" folder is also a wrotten by me script with add for you the needed entries to brevent the license from becomming blocked.

IMPORTANT:

The point 1. from the README (in the crack folder) MAY NOT BECOME SKIPPED or it won't work

it's better to use the one (portable) version (with I had provided) because in it I had already done the nessecary changes that the program would work as registered. The one in the official repository (avaliable from for example Synaptic) would have more things to do to make it work and guessing on your previous messages, you probably won't be able yto do them

You can install aptitude. It's a console alternative for Synaptic

This no longer works with the latest version of sublime-text 4. They probably added another way to check for valid licenses, probably another IP.. So I guess we need to block something else now..

That why I made avaliable the working Sublime 3 for download ;-)

I do not want portable programs, I need installed programs, besides that of my own code is not to my liking since it can be programmed to open ports or make remote connections, I do not say it for you, in general I say it.

You had missunderstood what I wrote. "Portable" means that is's done that you can run it from any place on with it's extracted, without need to install anything, with in most cases requires administrative (root).

Additionally, as I wrote before, the version with you want "nessecarly" to install from the repositories won't work with the provided license from one of bellow reasons:

• if it's a version: 3 3.2.2, then because to make it work you would need to manually modify the sublime_text binary, with I doubt you would be able to do

• else (with is more probable), in the repository it's already a fixed version of Sublime, with won't accept the license

People here are trying to help you and you seem to be whole time dissatisfied and fussying
