Windows 11 Pro (Redux)

-Install from bootable USB drive

  • Set up new user
    • Unable to proceed without signing in to Microsoft
    • New user has autogenerated username
    • Create admin user (local account)
    • Delete original user account
    • Create a new local user account and specify the username nomi
    • Delete admin account
  • Log in to Microsoft
    • Set up OneDrive and Edge
  • Download 1Password
  • Go through multiple system updates and reboots
  • Sign up for the Microsoft Insider program
    • Specify the Beta release channel
  • Manually reactivate Windows 11 Pro license from system settings
    • This failed the first few times, complaining that my "hardware had changed too much"
    • After final system update, I was finally succesful
  • Sign up for Microsoft Copilot
