Meownica's packing list

Meownica's packing list

I travel a lot so I'm down to like 30 minutes of packing per any kind of trip. I always bring one carry-on suitcase for any trips up to 2 weeks (that I never check in unless forced) -- I have an Away suitcase because it's got a built-in (removable) battery, and amazing wheels.

  • ๐Ÿ†”Wallet & Passport
  • ๐Ÿ’งTravel water bottle
  • ๐Ÿ’ณTravel credit cards (don't pay foreign currency fees!)
  • ๐Ÿ’ณInsurance cards
  • ๐Ÿ’ตLocal currency you have
  • ๐ŸšŽLocal public transport cards
  • ๐Ÿ“–A book
  • ๐Ÿ’ŠMelatonin/Benadryl to sleep on planes
  • ๐Ÿ•ถSunglasses
  • ๐ŸŽงHeadphones (especially for the plane)

This is the list of must-haves. If you forget something from the other lists, you should be fine, but if you forget something from this list you will be hosed and have regrets.

Unless you're bringing hair straighteners or blow driers along, you don't really need transformers, and you just need a plug adapter so that your thing fits. A generic one like this should be enough. Also, if you want to be hardcore and expect you're staying in an old hotel where the power plugs are never where you need them, you could bring an extension cord.

  • ๐Ÿ‘€Contacts & solution
  • ๐Ÿ‘ƒDeodorant & Perfume
  • ๐Ÿ‘…Toothbrush, toothpaste, floss
  • ๐Ÿ’‡โ€โ™€๏ธHair brush
  • ๐Ÿ›Shampoo, conditioner (use tiny containers!)
  • ๐Ÿ’คSleeping eye mask/ear plugs
  • โ˜€๏ธSunscreen
  • โœจMoisturizers, serums
  • ๐Ÿ’„Makeup
  • ๐ŸŽ€Straighteners/Curlers
  • ๐Ÿ’…Nail file/clippers/nail polish & remover wipes
  • ๐Ÿ’Š Allergy pills/Ibuprofen/Cold medicine/Your custom medication

  • if you travel a lot, it helps if you have a ready-to-go version of this bag somewhere so you don't have to always reassemble it. I also have a bag of travelling medication I always bring along because it turns out trying to get cold medicine in Dutch or Japanese is not worth it. Bring your own.
  • if your flight is longer than like 5 hours, don't wear make-up on (or be ready to take it off), and bring a tiny container of moisturizer in your backpack to put on. Plane air is dry and will destroy you.

  • ๐Ÿ‘Underwear x days
  • ๐ŸงฆSocks x days
  • ๐Ÿ‘—Bottoms: skirts, trousers, etc
  • ๐Ÿ‘•Tops: shirts, etc
  • ๐Ÿ‘”Sweater/Hoodie (you're going to be cold at least once)
  • ๐ŸงคJacket
  • ๐Ÿ‘ŸShoes
  • ๐ŸŒ‚Umbrella or another rain solution
  • ๐Ÿ‘™Bathing suit (just in case)
  • ๐ŸงขHat

Packing cubes are amazing because you get to separate all your clothes in compartments, so that you don't have to mess up your entire suitcase looking for a sock. I have these ones because they're pretty.
