Vates is a small company (10 people), editor of Xen Orchestra, a web solution for XenServer (server/desktop virtualization plat-form). There are 3 aspects to the product:
- administration tool
- backup tool
- cloud tool
In order to match our growing worldwide customer base and covering the place where most of them are, we need someone based on US soil.
- provide technical support to customers by answering only web based tools (no phone calls): live text chat and ticket system
- investigate and troubleshoot customer issues and provide solutions to problems
- exceed customer expectations by the celerity and quality of answers
- regularly collaborate with in-house support engineers and developers to produce creative solutions and improve customer satisfaction
- contribute to our documentation to provide solutions without repetition
- basic Linux system administration skills
- basic virtualization skills (Xen related is a plus)
- XenServer experience is a big plus
- passion for problem-solving and investigation and desire to learn about new technologies
- computer engineering or computer science students are preferred
- your writing skills can be used to improve the current product documentation (there is no native English speaker with the company so far)
- full time job, but we are open to alternative
- this job is 100% remote
- working hours: no extra hours, normal business hours (no more than 40h/week max)
- working days: Monday to Friday, no work during weekends
