Old Code Project BIO
I am a father of 3, and a Musician/Programmer/Artist. I develop C++ Libraries and Framework extensions for .NET. My first programming language was GWBasic and Apple Basic. Then in 1989 I learned ASM on my 386SX PC. After that I turned to Turbo Pascal, then Borland's Turbo C++. Beyond that, I first used Visual Basic v1.0 (the Dos one, if you didnt know).. Then Visual C++ (Borland's), and then Visual Basic for windows, up until Visual C++ 5 came out, then started writing in that. Since .NET came out in 2003 I have been writing primarily in C#, but still write most my 'fast' code in C++ and intermix with a little inline ASM here and there. I don't write too much ASM these days unless its on my OS project (in which case I use TASM, the OS is designed to run from DOS, then unloads DOS and it's Interrupt Services, and takes over from there, much like Novell Netware back in the day). As for art, I have a page on osirisgothra.deviantart.com and my music is found on www.paradisim.net along with my projects. I am a college student, returning to school after having kids and stuff - studying Computer Networking at WCCC, minoring in Music Theory. Current projects are Firecode (the OS), Emptyness (A short animated 3D film) and my website's current construction condition. I have yet to submit any articles here due to my lack of time but always glad to help fellow code project users, so feel free to drop me a line at gabriel@paradisim.net if you need advice/have questions about anything music/code/art related!! Reside in Western Pennsylvania near pittsburgh along with most of our family. I only have a couple friends, which I dont ever see anymore in real life so I have lots of time to talk, and fill up the 2000 character biography maximum. I think I am almost there, are you sick of reading this yet? If you are you can stop now because I am just typing the remainder of this paragraph to get to 2000 characters. Right now the counter says 1973, so I guess I'll wrap t|his up now. [Text after | was droped in 2014 by dotnet]

This is osirisgothra's BIO from the DOT NET (website), back when I joined in 2007 (just after his last child was born) and would later be moved here pending new BIO size restrictions on DOT NET and some of the other websites where this biography existed in partial.
