We don't have to read the books from front to back. We can skip sections, we can can read only some Point's of View, we can reorder the chapters chronologically, we can skip ahead and see if the character dies. We can interleave movies with books.
How can we read different and what can that do for us?
We are going to talk about works where diversity is done right. Not any one kind.

Time is a circle. What has been will be again. We current projections suggest we are drawing towards the end of the Zombie period.
Zombie stories continue to be popular in film and television, and most viewers are familiar with how the zombie apocalypse usually happens. Is that really how it would happen in a real-life situation – assuming for the moment, of course, that zombies could be real? How would society react to the walking dead? What would our governments’ responses be? What would a post-zombie world really look like, and what things do the writers of zombie narratives always seem to forget?

Sometimes movies and the original media go different ways, and you can only enjoy one or the other. But sometimes the movies lead you to only greater enjoyment when you read the comic after. Come and learn which movies and which comics this is true for.

You want new readers/viewers to be able to enjoy a product line. Do you create a new universe where the story is told from the start; but the previous line continues on (E.g. Marvel)? Do you start again with a reboot? (E.g. Batman) Do you reintroduce the characters and the story (E.g. Doctor Who)
Since Disney owns so many SF icons. Join us to see how they earn and spend their cash.
On the shoulders of giants: Marvel vs DC or Disney vs Warner Bros? Where the comic industry was once dominated mainly by DC and Marvel, the battle has moved to another level now that each one is owned by a heavy-hitting media industry giant. What does this mean for our favourite DC and Marvel superheroes? Will the fate of other indie companies (like Image, Dynamite, Archaia) depend on their ability to field titles hefty enough to carry movies or tv shows?
And about time too: Making comics for women. It seems silly that comics haven't tried harder to capture the female market, considering that they make up 50% of the population of the planet. Marvel's definitely trying to up their game, with a renewed focus on female superheroes like Captain Marvel, Ms Marvel, Thor and Silk - but is that just falling into the same trap as before, assuming that readers only want to read about characters of their own gender. This panel will discuss other ways that the comic industry could diversify in order to cater to the ignored part of their audience - and probably wind up appealing to more people as a whole.
Something about the mid-80s period, when comics changed or something like that - Dark Knight, Watchmen, birth of Vertigo, etc.

What skills carry over? What new skills are required? Does being good (or bad) at one make you good (or bad) at the other?
Dealing with Games when the rules don’t match the flavor, or outright contradict themselves.
So many problems with a "bad" game can be trance back to the very start -- character generation and the first session -- or even the choice of players and system. How can you make sure all your new games are good ones?
Explore storytelling games/RPGs like Fiasco, Microscope and Once Upon A Time, as a movement in gaming and as writing tools.

Even fairly large publishers like Onyx Path (ie the people using White Wolf' IP), are becoming print on demand only. Others are offering it as a chance to get things that are out of print. This is also true for indi boardgames. Is this our destiny?
Where has that left us?
Some systems fit on 2 A4, some on a business card. We are talking about anything that is smaller than some pamphlets.
