Adding your CSE email account to Gmail android app

  1. Goto Gmail > Settings > Add Account.
  2. Choose Other and enter you CSE email ID, xxx@cse.iitb.ac.in.

  1. Choose IMAP

  1. Change the server to imap.cse.iitb.ac.in. This will configure the incoming server.
  • The authentication method is STARTTLS.

  1. Now, the app needs to know details of the outgoing server. The authentication apparently happens with the Institute SMTP auth server, so you need to provide details of you Institute account and not of the CSE account.

  1. Choose as you wish on this page. Your account should now be configured properly, and you should be able to send emails too.
