Unlock Noob

• Set computer difficulty to very hard (best to get AI exploits to work from first matches)
• Improved AI is off
• Beat the game in under 12m47sec
• To select on the original character selection screen, hold start and then select Sub-Zero with another button

Unlock Jade

• Set computer difficulty to very hard (best to get AI exploits to work from first matches)
• Improved AI is off
• Beat the game without losing, including beating Jade. Losing a round is ok.
• To select on the original character selection screen, hold start and then select Kitana with another button

Note: you can unlock both Jade and Noob in one game if you can meet both conditions.

Unlock Smoke

• Set the computer difficulty to very easy
• Need to beat CPU double flawless victory, fatality on the pit stage when silhouettes fly over the moon. Then you will fight Hornbuckle. Try using Jade for the best chance.
• Then you need to beat Hornbuckle to unlock Smoke.
• Note: I understand there is only a 1% chance to see the silhouettes over the moon. The best way to get the silhouettes, is to start a single-player game and die until you are on the pit stage. If there are no silhouettes, press start on player 2, let the timer run out without any player damaging the other, start a new game, and you will be on the pit again. Rinse and repeat.
• To select on the original character selection screen, hold start and then select Reptile with another button

Unlock Shao Kahn and Kintaro

• You need to enable improved AI in the service menu
• Smoke, Jade, and Noob must already be unlocked
• Then beat survival with 700 or 750 points (not sure which). Must do it twice to unlock both bosses.

Play as Shao Kahn

• Make sure vs cheats are enabled in the service menu.
• Hold the Down+LP+HP+LK+HK. buttons before the match starts. Works Only in stage Kahn Arena

Play as Kintaro

• Make sure vs cheats are enabled in the service menu.
• Hold the Up+LP+HP+LK+HK. buttons before the match starts. Works Only in stage Kahn Arena

To easily select characters from the player select screen in the service menu set the character selection option to "alternative". Will not work for Shao Kahn and Kintaro

Please help me I can't get the boss codes to work no matter what I do. Please just add them to the roster or something this is driving me crazy.

I don't know what you mean by Boss codes, but if you follow the each of the steps it will unlock them. Each of the unlocks requires you to play the game. e.g for Jade beat the game without losing. See above.

I mean the special inputs you have to do to play as them. I unlocked Kintaro and no matter what I do, I can't get the game to select him.

Oh I just figured it out. You can't play as bosses on Survival mode.

No, but I find it helps to bet the CPU faster as the AI tricks come into play in the early rounds, which makes winning faster easier. But up to you.

Hornbuckle can be Playable, but only through Cheats. Would have to look to see how to Play as him by normal Methods. Same Moves as Liu Kang, but he has Multiple Fireballs he can fire :D .

Yes it's possible (anything is), but in beta 2 the developer put protections in place to stop simple memory pokes to select Hornbuckle. And of course there might still be a secret way to select him without cheats!

Not sure how then, but under RetroArch, I can Select Liu Kang, then Set the Cheat for Hornbuckle in the RA Cheats Section, Apply it, and boom. Can play him throughout the Game. Even when I disable the Cheat, I keep him until I either Lose, or Beat the Game. Under the Character Values, he is 11 Hex (17 Dec).

Is this is beta 1 or 2?

Beta 2. Dont think I even tried the Beta 1.

@Smoker1 where did you get the mk2p cheats from? Which core are you using?

I used FBNeo on RetroArch, and used the Cheat Search Function. Was able to Figure out the "P1 play As..." by looking at the MAME Cheat Addresses and Values.
