=== Problem I am trying to solve ====
Currently, creators who freely share or sell their models for 3D printing have no simple license
That allows their customers to sell their creations for profit and share the proceeds with the creator.
I propose the following license idea
Note: There will not be versions this will be a DRAFT until finalized then it will never change
==== Give and it Shall be Given license (DRAFT) ===
==== (GSG for short) ===
1) The creator gives permission to anyone to sell their creation as a 3D print for profit.
2) For each 3D print sold the seller shall pay the creator a per item license fee.
3) The creator may designate a minimum payment.
4) The seller may pay the creator via any 3D printing sharing web site that has a payment/tipping feature.
5) Upon being paid a license fee the creator shall pay all other creator who’s 3D model is utilized in this creation.
The creator shall pay them according to their GSG license fee.
Tipping suggested version (for items that creators allow to be sold… but wouldn’t say no to a tip)
==== Give and it Shall be Given Tipping license v 0.0.1 ====
==== (GSGTfor short) ====
1) The creator gives permission to anyone to sell their creation as a 3D print for profit.
2) For each 3D print sold the seller may tip pay the creator a per item tip.
3) The creator may designate a minimum tip.
4) The seller may tip the creator via any 3D printing sharing web site that has a payment/tipping feature.
---- Examples ----
GSG $0.50/$10
This would mean that a per item license cost is $0.50 and that the minimum order/payment is $10.
So if a seller sells 1 item they shall pay the created $10.
The $10 that they paid gives them the rightTo sell 20 items.
So they would still be licensed to sell 19 more.
If a seller sold 33 items they would pay the created $16.50
GSG $0.25
This would mean that if the seller sold 1 item they shall pay the creator $0.25... no minimal order.
GSG $1.00/$25
If a creator had created a for sale 3D model. An exmple of this would be the articlulated dragon for sale at cults3d.
The seller would pay the one time fee for the model. Then if they sold 1 item they would owe $25 to the creator
and that would give them the right to sell 24 more.
GSGT $0.25/$6.00
If a seller should choose to tip a creator.
The creator asks that they tip $.25 per item sold and have a minimal tip of $6.00.
So if the seller sold one item and wanted to tip they should tip $6.00.
If a seller sells 100 items and they want to tip the seller should tip $25.00
