The search is slow and doesn't send the full string, but sends it in pieces so the response isn't always fresh. ie typing "queens of the ston" will return "queen", but won't return "queens of the stone age" until you edit the search string, I was finding myself always removing a letter and adding it again just to refine the search. Is my typing too fast for Spotify?
On my trip back from SFO - MEL I put my phone on Flight Mode, Spotify kept telling me songs weren't available without data, I couldn't get to my offline songs. 14 hours, no Spotify. Luckily Apple Music had some albums I had downloaded through iTunes in the cloud months before.
I find the app very unresponsive in general, even on a fast connection. My dev brain tells me it is trying to load in too much imagery with the content instead of giving me the content with placeholders and giving me the imagery secondarily, allowing me to move through the app at my own pace.

This has never put up music that I like, at the moment it is recommending Alternative Hip Hop, Chilled R&B. I don't have anything like that in my Spotify library
I don't have to put every sound my laptop makes through my home sound system, just itunes.
If I want to listen to some music that isn't on a label, I can add it to my itunes library and I get it on all of my devices. I believe this is important for supporting upcoming artists.
I have always paid for iTunes in the cloud as I had a big music collection before streaming services were a thing and didn't want to lose it, now it isn't sitting on any of my devices, taking up space and I can access the library from anywhere, quickly. I'm not restricted to what Spotify allows me to have in my library.
The first thing I did was in Apple Music was listen to the For You, it was pretty spot on for new music, I found some new bands in there that I have listened to since then. No service I have used has been even close to good recommendations.
Jimmy is also on Apple Music, he can send me an album through iMessage and I can start playing it from there or open it in the Music app
It took some setting up, I had to log out of icloud on both of my devices (laptop, iphone) and log back in, for it to recognise I had subscribed to Apple Music
