This gist lets you keep IPython notebooks in git repositories. It tells git to ignore prompt numbers and program outputs when checking that a file has changed.

works well in Mac OS X but not in Ubuntu 16.04. . . . The only difference is the existance of
~/.config/git
folder. This directory exists in Mac OS X, but not in Ubuntu 16.04. So I aritficially made this directory and createattribute
file too, but it doesn't work
