Lugg is looking for a Ruby backend developer

Lugg is on-demand moving and delivery. Push a button, get movers and a truck in minutes.

Between organic adoption from Craigslist and partnerships with large retailers like IKEA, Costco and Crate & Barrel we have delivered a lot of items, from wardrobes to art pieces to donations for charity.

As our 3rd engineer you're going to work on a wide variety of projects, from changing how we onboard Luggers to optimizing dispatches. We have no shortage of interesting engineering projects waiting for an owner!

We are looking for a generalist that is proficient in:

  • Ruby and Rails
  • Postgres and Redis
  • Services operations and scalability

Familiarity with front-end development basics and JavaScript/React are a plus.

Other key competencies we're looking for:

  • Track record delivering projects
  • Enthusiasm for evaluating new services and technologies
  • Interest in joining an early venture, where you will effectively shape our culture and values

We're a team of ten, founded by engineers, proud of our customer's satisfaction and our ability to execute. Lugg recently came out of YC with a really strong business and an incredible team of advisors and investors, including A Capital, Sequoia Capital and SV Angel.

This position is for people in San Francisco or willing to relocate.

To apply please email jobs@lugg.com. Include:

Pedro
