Lugg (YC S15) is hiring a Ruby engineer

Lugg is on-demand moving and delivery. Push a button, get movers and a truck in minutes.

We're a tight dev team of 3 working on surprisingly hard problems. Think traveling salesman meets job shop scheduling and statistics – although there is also just a bunch of admin tools and CRUD that needs to go with that.

We are looking for a generalist that is proficient in:

  • Ruby and Rails
  • Postgres and Redis
  • Services operations and scalability

Our stack has some "new" and exciting technologies like React Native and GraphQL, although we also like to sleep at night so our backend is a pretty standard, well tested Rails app running on Postgres.

Business is going well – so much Paul Graham had to tweet about it (: we've been growing 20% month over month in average, just expanded out of Bay Area into Los Angeles, and are aiming to cover another 5 cities this year.

With team members from Apple, Facebook and Heroku we take pride in our customer satisfaction and ability to execute, not to mention the general feeling that we're making the world a little better, one move at a time.

This position is for people in San Francisco or willing to relocate.

To apply please email jobs@lugg.com. Include:

  • Brief summary
  • Any code sample you can share
  • Your blog/github/twitter/resume/whatever you have :}

Thanks,

Pedro
