How to connect using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)?
Note: If your router does not support WPS, use the wireless setup method using a USB cable.
1.Make sure your computer, router and printer are all turned on. Connect your computer to a wireless network.
2.Press the WPS button on your wireless router.
3.On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button. The wireless light starts to blink.
4.Wait for the printer to establish a network connection with the wireless router.
5.Once the printer connects to the router, the wireless light is solid.
6.Click the Apple Icon and then click System Reference.
7.Click Printers and Scanners.
8.Click the printer’s name then Click the Use or Print Using box.
9.Select the name of your printer in the pop-up menu.
10.Click Add to add the printer to your device.
11.Run a test print
How to setup using USB cable?
1.Turn on your printer and make sure it is in the ready state.
2.Connect the USB cable to the back of the printer and to your Mac OS.
3.Once your printer is compatible to your Mac, a pop-up window will automatically appear on your screen.
4.Click Install to complete the installation.
5.When the installation is complete a new printer is added to your device.
6.Run a test print.
How to connect wireless setup using USB cable?
Note: Follow the steps on How to setup using USB cable, then proceed to these steps.
1.Click the Apple Icon and then click System Reference.
2.Click the Printers and Scanners.
3.Click Open Print Queue and then click Printer Setup.
4.Click the Utility tab and then click Open Printer Utility.
5.Click HTML configuration.
6.Click Networking and then click Wireless.
7.When it returns to the wireless menu, under Network name (SSID) find the name of your network in Available Network Names (SSID).
8.Select your network name then click the button with 2 left arrows to add as your Current Network Name.
9.Under the Authentication Section choose the security mode of your network, input your network key then click Apply.
10.Return to Printers and Scanners.
11.Click “+” button under nearby printers and then click the printer’s name.
12.Click Use box then select printer’s name.
13.Click add to add the wireless printer to the Printer Queue.
