My startup is developing an application you might find interesting. It's called Screensaver Ninja. It's a screensaver that displays web pages so you can turn your own desktop or laptop or a dedicated computer into a powerful and secure dashboard system by displaying all those tools that you mention here.
At the time of this writing we are doing a private beta for the Mac version of Screensaver Ninja and we'll start a public beta very soon. The Windows version will follow shortly after.
