pgray's no-topping burgers

ingredients:

  • 1lb meat (successful with ground beef, pork, turkey, and beyond burger/beef)
  • 50g Sriracha
  • 20g soy sauce
  • 20g garlic paste (substitute ginger paste instead for an even more unique outcome)
  • 5g black sesame seed
  • 10g bread crumbs
  • 1 egg

steps:

  • throw it in a bowl
  • stir that shit up
  • put it in the fridge for 2 to 24 hours
  • keep cold until grill is hot
  • shape into patties at grill
  • throw on grill immediately after shaping
  • cook until the solidified/done looking part is halfway to the top
  • flip and cook until you think they're ready
  • some dark grill marks will show up

guidance:

The no-topping means that the burgers don't need any toppings and taste great alone.

They still go great with a bun, lettuce, tomato, onions, and your favorite sauce added.

Experiment! This recipe is the base and you should find your own version over time.

I'd love a bean version but have settled for the beyond-meat version for vegetarians.
