Camera and light setup

Camera

I bought the Sony a5100 which is an older modle but very popular for this purpose. Seems less available on amazon.com at the moment than the updated model which is very similar and probably better:

Sony a6000

HDMI link

To stream the camera feed into the USB port of the computer and treat it as a webcam, you need little capture card. Elgato Camlink is a simple cheap-ish option for that, but the entire world seems to wnat one right now so they are hard to come by. There are loads of alternatives. Here's one very similar to what I got instead:

HDMI to USB capture card

Dummy battery (optional but recommended)

For just recordng a talk, a full battery charge will be fine. For added safety, you can get a dummy battery which lets you run the camera from the mains/.

AC-PW20 DC Coupler Replacement for NP-FW50 Battery

Micro HDMI to HDMI cable

My camera (and the a6000) have a micro HDMI port. So you need a cable to go from that to a full sized HDMI (into your capture card)

Micro HDMI to HDMI

Light

I bought a Neewer ring light and then got a stand for it. This one is tiny upgrade from mine but includes the stand and mount, so you should be able to put the camera and light all on this tripod.
