Python on Mac OS X

If you're writing Python:

Do which -a python to see how many Pythons you have installed.

If you see only /usr/bin/python, then you're good to go.

Finding where some feature is implemented, bottom up:
usually the easiest way to find anything specific
demo example: CPython, __add__
grep, preferably git grep, or grep foo -- $(find . -name \*.c) etc.
