Simple Utility Script for allowing debug of hardened macOS apps.
#! /bin/bash
# Simple Utility Script for allowing debug of hardened macOS apps.
# This is useful mostly for plug-in developer that would like keep developing without turning SIP off.
# Credit for idea goes to (McMartin): https://forum.juce.com/t/apple-gatekeeper-notarised-distributables/29952/57?u=ttg
# Update 2022-03-10: Based on Fabian's feedback, add capability to inject DYLD for sanitizers.
#
# Please note:
# - Modern Logic (on M1s) uses `AUHostingService` which resides within the system thus not patchable and REQUIRES to turn-off SIP.
# - Some hosts uses separate plug-in scanning or sandboxing.
# if that's the case, it's required to patch those (if needed) and attach debugger to them instead.

Here are a set of libraries, plugins and guides which may be useful to your Javascript coding.

Libraries

  • jQuery - The de-facto library for the modern age. It makes things like HTML document traversal and manipulation, event handling, animation, and Ajax much simpler with an easy-to-use API that works across a multitude of browsers.
  • Backbone - Backbone.js gives structure to web applications by providing models with key-value binding and custom events, collections with a rich API of enumerable functions, views with declarative event handling, and connects it all to your existing API over a RESTful JSON interface.
  • AngularJS - Conventions based MVC framework for HTML5 apps.
  • Underscore - Underscore is a utility-belt library for JavaScript that provides a lot of the functional programming support that you would expect in Prototype.js (or Ruby), but without extending any of the built-in JavaScript objects.
  • lawnchair - Key/value store adapter for indexdb, localStorage

Quickstart Clojure on OS X

Setting Up Clojure on OS X

I spent a lot of time trying to find a pretty optimal (for me) setup for Clojure… at the same time I was trying to dive in and learn it. This is never optimal; you shouldn't be fighting the environment while trying to learn something.

I feel like I went through a lot of pain searching Google, StackOverflow, blogs, and other sites for random tidbits of information and instructions.

This is a comprehensive "what I learned and what I ended up doing" that will hopefully be of use to others and act as a journal for myself if I ever have to do it again. I want to be very step-by-step and explain what's happening (and why) at each step.

Step 1: Getting Clojure (1.3)
