Small script for installing Sublime Text 2.0.2 on Linux debian/ubuntu-based distro
# download source files of Sublime
wget http://c758482.r82.cf2.rackcdn.com/Sublime\ Text\ 2.0.2\ x64.tar.bz2
# extract files from tarball
tar xf Sublime\ Text\ 2.0.2\ x64.tar.bz2
# move extracted files to opt directory
sudo mv Sublime\ Text\ 2 /opt/
# create a link on bin directory
sudo ln -s /opt/Sublime\ Text\ 2/sublime_text /usr/bin/sublime
# add icon to menu
sudo sublime /usr/share/applications/sublime.desktop
# if is your desire to make Sublime as you default editor
# open and replace all occurrences of gedit.desktop with sublime.desktop
sudo sublime /usr/share/applications/defaults.list
