Cursor Rules for MI Apps
# Coding pattern preferences
– Always prefer simple solutions
– Avoid duplication of code whenever possible, which means checking for other areas of the codebase that might already have similar code and functionality
- Always implement handling for encoded HTML entities (decode them properly)
- Always implement alpha sorting when returning data for display in a table or list
- For date selection, implement date descending (most recent first)
– You are careful to only make changes that are: specifically requested, or that you are confident are well understood and related to the change being requested
– When fixing an issue or bug, do not introduce a new pattern or technology without first exhausting all options for the existing implementation. And if you finally do this, make sure to remove the old implementation afterwards so we don’t have duplicate logic.
– Keep the codebase very clean and organized
– Avoid writing scripts in files if possible, especially if the script is likely only to be run once

[8/26/15, 7:13:04 AM] Marius Moscovici: This came up with Adobe but was also requested by other customers (Pluralsight, etc..). They want to be able to identify certain elements as being certified. This typically means that someone in a centralized administration group has reviewed the metric/report/multi-metric/external report and validated that the logic used to build the object is consistent with the standards that exist in the organization. For instance, that sales or revenue or whatever is being measured in the visualization is defined correctly.

Marius: yes - user who says that it is certified.
Marius: We will need privileges to allow Power users to certify since some (probably most) power users may not have the right to certify elements that they created (that will be left to admins in many customer accounts).
Marius: so we should probably ask Oleksiy’s help with the design for this (maybe have a button to certify in info tab of editors that is only active for admins and power users with the necessary privilege ‘Can certify content’) .

Alex: If metric is certified by someone somewhere... and I make changes for the metric.. any or specific... can that impact its certified status ?
Marius: no - certification is just attribute of metric. If you change something post certification, it does not change certification status. Since we audit the fetch command changes, and admin can generate reports to see if any fetch commands have been modified after certification and review those elements. Then he can “un

1. Buy or create, then bring your FBX into High Fidelity. <a href="http://mixamo.com">Mixamo</a>, the <a href="https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/">Unity Asset Store</a>, <a href="http://www.daz3d.com/">Daz3D</a> and numerous other sources are great places to start. Once you have the FBX you can rig it up as well.
2. Get it up in the cloud, available via a public URL. Make sure downloads will be quick from anywhere in the world (e.g. S3 or equivalent)
3. Launch Interface and load <a href="http://hifi-public.s3.amazonaws.com/scripts/editEntities.js">editEntities.js</a> or grow your own script — all of our scripts are JavaScript-based and easily edited.
4. If you’re using editEntities, click the cloud on the right to place your model into the metaverse.
