List of resources for TDA

Quick List of Resources for Topological Data Analysis with Emphasis on Machine Learning

This is just a quick list of resourses on TDA that I put together for @rickasaurus after he was asking for links to papers, books, etc on Twitter and is by no means an exhaustive list.

Survey Papers

Both Carlsson's and Ghrist's survey papers offer a very good introduction to the subject

Step 1: Generate first ssh key Type the following command to generate your first public and private key on a local workstation. Next provide the required input or accept the defaults. Please do not change the filename and directory location.

Quick install pyenv and Python

Tested only on Ubuntu 22.04, KDE Neon User Edition (based on Ubuntu 22.04) and OSX Mojave or higher.

will probably work on other newer versions, with no changes, or with few changes in non-python dependencies (apt-get packages)

NOTE: Don't create a .sh file and run it all at once. It may will not work. Copy, paste, and execute each command below manually. :-)

Use Proxy for Git/GitHub

Use Proxy for Git/GitHub

Generally, the Git proxy configuration depends on the Git Server Protocol you use. And there're two common protocols: SSH and HTTP/HTTPS. Both require a proxy setup already. In the following, I assume a SOCKS5 proxy set up on localhost:1080. But it can also be a HTTP proxy. I'll talk about how to set up a SOCKS5 proxy later.

SSH Protocol

When you do git clone ssh://[user@]server/project.git or git clone [user@]server:project.git, you're using the SSH protocol. You need to configurate your SSH client to use a proxy. Add the following to your SSH config file, say ~/.ssh/config:

ProxyCommand nc -x localhost:1080 %h %p
