How to build an old chromium revision by MSVC 2013

Visual Studio Express 2013 is not supported

Valid for branches before March 11, 2016 (chromium revision 49.0.2623.87)

• Setup enviroment variables
  • DEPOT_TOOLS_UPDATE=0
  • DEPOT_TOOLS_WIN_TOOLCHAIN=0
  • GYP_MSVS_VERSION=2013
  • GYP_GENERATORS=msvs-ninja,ninja
  • GYP_MSVS_OVERRIDE_PATH=C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 12.0
  • Install necessary Windows 10 SDK. You must have SDK version 10.0.10586 or greater installed.
• Get specific version of depot_tools
  • remove existing python instances from PATH
  • git clone https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/tools/depot_tools
  • ~/depot_tools $ git checkout $(git rev-list -n 1 --before="$COMMIT_DATE" master)
  • Remove depot_tools/.git. This may be appropriate if you choose to install depot_tools in a common location for use by multiple users
  • Add depot_tools to PATH
  • Remove existing versions of gn
• Fetching source code (--with_tags options has been added in April 2017 - rev 52.*)
  • gclient root
  • gclient config --unmanaged --name src https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src.git
  • gclient sync --with_branch_heads --with_tags
  • cd src
  • git fetch origin
  • git.exe checkout --no-track -b msvc_2013 58.0.3029.68 --
  • gclient sync --with_branch_heads --with_tags
