Only tested on Java Edition.
The spawn point is on a small sandbar near the Northwest tip of an island, about 2K blocks long, running Northwest to Southeast. The island is about 30% plains, 10% forest, and 60% savanna (in order of distance from spawn point). There are two villages on the island: one in the second plains area (behind the forest) and the other in the savanna.
Although moving the spawn point is usually considered a cheat: I make an exception for it in this case for 2 reasons. 1: I wanted to start on the island; and 2: it's nearer to x:0, z:0 anyway.

The starting island is big enough to temporarily get lost on, but small enough that it doesn't take forever to find your way back.
-
It doesn't take long to find sheep
-
You start off near a particularly wide beach, so at first there's no shortage of sand.
-
The caves with openings to the surface around the spawn point don't have many resources: you have to dig down to the sealed caves.
-
Unless you leave the island before building a nether portal: you will be quite far from the nearest nether fortress.
-
The majority of biomes require crossing an ocean if you want to visit them.

In the Minecraft "saves" folder; make a new sub-folder and save level.dat into it.
