Professional Storytelling

I have always had a passion for combining STEM and art. In high school, I was equally excited about my ceramics classes, as well as the math team. I loved finding ways to creatively express myself, but also solving problems and puzzles.

When I went off to college, I began by studying Astronomy and Spanish. However, as time went on, I stepped away from Astronomy and immersed myself more in language. I enjoyed how as my Spanish studies got more intensive, my connections to the world around me deepened.

I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do after college, but I knew that I wanted to do something which allowed me to help others. I began doing technical recruiting, and later transitioned into payroll. This eventually led to an opportunity to help open up the Denver office of a payroll/HR tech startup. I loved helping build the office, and eventually a new team in Denver. My role progressed into managing the resolution of large scale payroll tax issues. In this role I was solving complex puzzles, while also getting

DTR: Define the Relationship

Use this template to when conducting DTR with your project partners. It's recommended that you copy/paste this template into your own gist each time you conduct a DTR to take notes on the conversation.

Guiding Questions to Define The Relationship:

  • What are each of our learning goals for this project? What drives us in this project?
  • Learn more things. Expand upon knowledge of JavaScript. Work/improve on technical vocab so when we are discussing the code we are using the correct vocabulary. What habits have we each built that we can share with each other. Drive is getting a 4.
  • What is your collaboration style? How do you feel about pair programming vs. divide-and-conquer approaches?

Parin Results Reflection

4-6 sentences!

1. What is your greatest strength and how do you know?

After reviewing my results, I believe that my greatest strength is working with others. All four of my results are related to how I interact with those around me, and how that in turn influences my decisions and actions. Comparing these results along with my prior work experience, I thought that the underlying attributes of being cooperative and always seeking justice when it comes to my relationship management in a profressional setting is very accurate. I am very effective in a group setting, and enjoy listening to others to not only learn and grow personally, but to hear how I can help further their growth and development.
