I have always had a passion for combining STEM and art. In high school, I was equally excited about my ceramics classes, as well as the math team. I loved finding ways to creatively express myself, but also solving problems and puzzles.
When I went off to college, I began by studying Astronomy and Spanish. However, as time went on, I stepped away from Astronomy and immersed myself more in language. I enjoyed how as my Spanish studies got more intensive, my connections to the world around me deepened.
I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do after college, but I knew that I wanted to do something which allowed me to help others. I began doing technical recruiting, and later transitioned into payroll. This eventually led to an opportunity to help open up the Denver office of a payroll/HR tech startup. I loved helping build the office, and eventually a new team in Denver. My role progressed into managing the resolution of large scale payroll tax issues. In this role I was solving complex puzzles, while also getting
