Sets up docker and docker-compose in a newly created AWS Ubuntu AMI instance
sudo apt-get -y update
sudo apt-get -y install \
apt-transport-https \
ca-certificates \
curl \
gnupg-agent \
software-properties-common
curl -fsSL https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu/gpg | sudo apt-key add -
sudo apt-key fingerprint 0EBFCD88
sudo add-apt-repository \
"deb [arch=amd64] https://download.docker.com/linux/ubuntu \
$(lsb_release -cs) \
stable"
sudo apt-get -y update
sudo apt-get -y install docker-ce docker-ce-cli containerd.io
sudo usermod -aG docker ubuntu
sudo curl -L "https://github.com/docker/compose/releases/download/1.24.1/docker-compose-$(uname -s)-$(uname -m)" -o /usr/local/bin/docker-compose
sudo chmod +x /usr/local/bin/docker-compose

To execute, run the following command:

bash <(curl -Ls <RAW_GIST_URL>)

Make sure to replace <RAW_GIST_URL> with the current gist URL.
To test the installation run:

docker --version && docker-compose --version
