Build and install python 3.6.7 from source on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS(Xenial). Includes SSL/TLS for pip.

apt install zlib1g-dev -y
apt install libssl-dev libncurses5-dev libsqlite3-dev libreadline-dev libtk8.5 libgdm-dev libdb4o-cil-dev libpcap-dev -y
apt update
apt upgrade
git clone https://github.com/deadsnakes/python3.6
cd python3.6
./configure --enable-optimizations
# make command will take 10 mins
make
# make test
make install
# Collecting setuptools
# Collecting pip
# Installing collected packages: setuptools, pip
# Successfully installed pip-10.0.1 setuptools-39.0.1
python3 -V
# Python 3.6.7
pip3 -V
#pip 10.0.1 from /usr/local/lib/python3.6/site-packages/pip (python 3.6)
python3 -m pip install --upgrade pip
