Steps for adding a Dataverse installation to Dataverse.org

1. Log into the "Miniverse" administrative control panel:

• https://services.dataverse.harvard.edu/miniverse/miniverse-admin/

2. Go to the "installations" section:

• https://services.dataverse.harvard.edu/miniverse/miniverse-admin/installations/installation/

3. Click "ADD INSTALLATION" (top right corner)

• Alternately, you can click on an existing Installation record and Edit it.

4. Fill in (or Edit) the appropriate fields (boldfaced fields are required).

• Mike H. can help with formatting the logo file.

5. Make sure "is active" is selected and Save the record

• "Save" button is on the bottom right of the page

6. Check if the installation is showing up on the map:

• IMPORTANT: The page is on Dataverse.org is cached for several hours.
  • To see your changes, add an attribute to the end of the url such as &t=1:
    • https://services.dataverse.harvard.edu/miniverse/map/dataverse-org?iframe=true&t=1
  • Note the link above will also be cached, if you need to edit the record and test changes, change &t=1 to &t=2, then &t=3, etc.

7. Breaking the cached page

• If the live dataverse.org page needs an immediate update, the web server server can be restarted by Benson or Raman
