This gist contains a short assignment I'd like everyone to complete before our formal lesson. The prework involves reading some of the React Router documentation, and will allow us to keep the lesson more hands on.
There are a bunch of JavaScript frameworks out there to use. At Turing, we choose to teach React - it's one of the most popular frameworks out there. Actually, a lot of developers will call React a library, which it is...but it can also be described as a framework. It's a little confusing, but the lines are blurred for React. Let's just say that React is a library with some rules and conventions to follow.
As a man who works full-time, is in a committed relationship, and maintains connection with a close group of friends, empathy plays a major role in my everyday life. Every interaction is purposeful, so it becomes an habitual process to listen and understand the people I work with and care about. At work, having empathy (or a lack thereof) could be the difference between accomplishing a common goal with co-workers or completely halting an otherwise promising opportunity for impact and productivity. Personally, empathy has helped me deepen my relationships by teaching me what my loved ones need and discover ways of meeting those needs (and vice versa).
