After some years enjoying github awesomeness, heres what i miss most. Add your comments :)
Id love to use github for agile project management so issues are very important to me :)
- Ability to choose a licence type for each project, with auto-generated licence. (see mit-licence.org)
- Ability to tag my own repositories and tags others too for my own usage
- A real dashboard, that aggregates activity by tags and projects
- A project activity indicator based on recents commits, open issues, PR opened/closed ratio...
- A way to distinguish the most active fork in a project
- Archive repository (not maintained anymore projects)
- Add social info for the owner/organisation : twitter/g+/linkedin/speakerdeck...
- A Google group like or forum about a particular project
Infortunately, downloads have been removed :/
The download page is very basic

- Ability to star issues (eg: issues id like to resolve)
- A way to prioritize issues and sort by priority :)
- When listing issues by assignee, please add a milestone indicator
- Prevent page refresh while editing !!
- Prevent co-editing an issue comment (or version/history it)
- Prevent editing another author comment/issue
