Simple process to setup Slack on another computer
# Slack
Slack is pretty cool, and it's begun to grow on me. One thing that kept me from
diving in head first, was the setup process. It seemed a little half baked. I
work on at least 4 different devices, and having to set it up from scratch
on each device seemed like too much work.
I could never remember all the team names, channels etc.
But due to the rest of my team and peers using Slack I finally decided to bite the
bullet and spend the time to setup slack on all my devices. I then stumbled on a
simple trick, that will literaly list for you all your teams you have been invited
to.
1. try and join a slack team.
2. enter in your email address, the one which has been invited to that Slack team.
3. don't enter a password, ask for the "magic-link" instead.
4. you will recieve an email from slack, inside that email will be links to all Slack teams that email address has been invited to.
5. click on each one, and it will open in your Slack app and you are good to go.
