First off, you need minced pork meat. Usually shoulder meat, but any will probably work just as fine (just don't get any super thick/fatty part).

You will also need: leek, tomatoes, cabbage, any kind of stock (veggie stock seems to work the best), salt, pepper.

Now, take the white parts of leek, finely chop and saute them a little. In the meantime, boil rice. You will use approx. 1/4 part rice per 1 part meat.

Now, add both the rice and leek to the minced meat and season with salt and pepper. In the very traditional recipes you might not find leek, but its kinda like a family secret thing - it adds moisture to the usually dry insides of golabki and makes them nice and succulent.

Next thing, you wanna get em' cabbages softened. Put a whole motherfucker in a pot, boil him half-way through. Why? Cause you ain't gonna wrap the meat otherwise.

Now you take em cabbage and cut the bottom off and unfold the leaves. Get them leaves, pack with meat, and make rolls out of them, just like they do with dead people and carpets.

Now you need to take these rolls, stick them on the bottom of a pot, cover with veggie stock and boil until they are ready. The water should behave like someone drowning - lots of boiling and bubbling at the very beggining, gradually decreasing to none.

Last thing - tomatato sauce. Get tomatoes and tomato sauce. Chop the tomatoes finely and roast just a little on butter. Thicken the mixture - sauce is done.
