Best Black Bean Brownies Ever! | |
Makes 1 8 x 8 pan | |
Ingredients: | |
1 15-oz. can black beans, drained well | |
1⁄3 cup maple syrup | |
1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder | |
1⁄4 teaspoon baking soda | |
2-3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder | |
1⁄4 teaspoon sea salt | |
1⁄4 cup walnut butter (or peanut or almond butter) | |
1 tablespoon flax seed meal (ground flax seeds) | |
3 tablespoons rolled oats | |
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extracts | |
1⁄4 cup non-dairy chocolate chips (to press on top) | |
Instructions: | |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. | |
Place all ingredients except the chocolate chips in a food processor (mini food processor works) and blend until relatively smooth. Transfer to a lightly oiled 8 x 8- inch baking pan. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top and gently press into the surface. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool completely before cutting and serving. These firm up a bit more when refrigerated. | |
