Best Black Bean Brownies Ever
Best Black Bean Brownies Ever!
Makes 1 8 x 8 pan
Ingredients:
1 15-oz. can black beans, drained well
1⁄3 cup maple syrup
1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
1⁄4 teaspoon baking soda
2-3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1⁄4 teaspoon sea salt
1⁄4 cup walnut butter (or peanut or almond butter)
1 tablespoon flax seed meal (ground flax seeds)
3 tablespoons rolled oats
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extracts
1⁄4 cup non-dairy chocolate chips (to press on top)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Place all ingredients except the chocolate chips in a food processor (mini food processor works) and blend until relatively smooth. Transfer to a lightly oiled 8 x 8- inch baking pan. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top and gently press into the surface. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool completely before cutting and serving. These firm up a bit more when refrigerated.
