Namaste,

I am concerned about the disruption of essential medical supplies to Nepal's medical community. Can you tell me what India is doing to coordinate with the Nepal government to ensure that medicine and other equipment will reach the people whose lives depend on it?

Thank you,

Namaste,

During the weeks leading up to the constitution's promulgation, around 36 civilians and 9 police officers were killed in Madhes protests, as documented by the Human Rights Watch report.

https://www.hrw.org/report/2015/10/16/we-are-not-nepali/protest-and-police-crackdown-terai-region-nepal

I have three questions:

  1. Is there currently an investigation into the alleged use of excessive force by police officers?

  2. Have any police officers been charged in connection with the civilian deaths or other injuries?

  3. Which civilians have been arrested for killings of police?

Sincerely,

Robert Penner
