Restoring the Pebble app on iOS with iMazing

The Pebble app is no longer on the App Store.

No worries! If you have an Apple ID, you can install the app yourself by sideloading!

But if you have made a backup of a iDevice that has the Pebble app installed...

You can restore the Pebble app back into any iDevice you have!

What we are going to do:

  1. Install iMazing on the computer
  2. Extract IPA from backup
  3. Use iMazing to sideload the Pebble IPA file onto the iOS device

Requirements:

  • Apple ID (Apple ID account)
  • Computer (Windows 10, or macOS 10.14 and higher) with internet access
  • iOS device (iOS 7 or higher) with internet access
  • Cable for iOS device
  • Backup of a iDevice with the Pebble app installed
  • (Optional) Latest iCloud and iTunes installed

Before starting:

  • Read this guide carefully!
  • Make sure that...
    • Computer is connected to the internet
    • iOS device is connected to the internet
    • iOS device is not connected to the computer

[INFORMATION BOXES] If you see this, then it is important!


Installation:

  1. Download iMazing (See downloads below)
  2. Install iMazing (the trial is fine) on your computer.
  3. Connect your iOS device. There may be a popup on the iOS device asking to trust the computer, press Allow.
  4. Run iMazing. Click the small "Continue Trial" button on the top right. At some point, there will be a popup asking if you want to backup your device. Click on the "Later" button.
  5. restore....

  6. ???
  7. The Pebble app is now installed.
  8. Go to the Rebble website and create a Rebble account (or sign in if you already have one).
  9. Click the "Switch to Rebble" button.
  10. Profit!
