Using the AMD support center

The AMD support center for drivers can be accessed here.

To get started, get the Card Name, and OS information.

If the card name contains an M prefix after an integer, or contains the word Mobility in it, please refer to the product as Netbook Graphics.

To use the site, simply follow these steps:

####Step 1:

  • At the drop down, choose Desktop Graphics, or if it is a mobility product, choose Netbook Graphics.

####Step 2:

  • Find the product's prefix, in the drop-down.

If you need help, it's basically whatever the Card Name starts with, if you don't see it, ask another guru for help.

####Step 3:

  • Fill in the rest of the Card Name, if it's not listed, once again, you can ask someone else for help.

####Step 4:

  • This is where the OS comes in, simply from the drop down choose the OS that you should have.

Not listed? - In that case, it usually means that there is no driver for their graphics card, under that OS. In that case, you should let the user know of this.

####Step 5:

  • Press Display Results, this will redirect you to another page.
  • Scroll down to the downloads section, at the bottom of the page which should contain a table, with Names, Download Links, etc.
  • You should see Catalyst Software Suite as a field, or Latest Beta Driver if one is available.

When available, it is usually the better option to use the beta drivers when available, if not, give them the Catalyst Software Suite download link instead.
