PSU Fractal Design modular pinout

First thing first, Do with your own risk!

This is the pinout guide for my Fractal Design ION+ 560W Modular cable.

Note

  • Male, look from the pin-side (there should be a pin number embossed in the corner)
  • Pin 20 (-5V) sometimes is missing, can just leave it empty if your PSU don't have -5V

PCIe 6+2 pin pinout

Note

  • Male, look from the pin-side (there should be a pin number embossed on top and bottom of the pin)
  • Pin 2 on PCIe 6 pin sometimes missing, sometimes can have 12V
  • Pin 4 (green, right-most bottom pin) on PCIe 8 pin or 6+2 pin is GND pin, usually missing

EPS 8 pin or 4+4 pin

Note

  • Male, look from the pin-side (there should be a pin number embossed on top and bottom of the pin)
  • sometimes will use the same male housing for PCIe 8 pin
  • On some cheap female housing, EPS and PCIe 8 pin can fit on each other, make sure you put the correct pin to not fry your motherboard or GPU

Note

  • 15 pins inside SATA power is translated to 5 cables, every cable is responsible for 3 pins
  • From 1-5 cable pinout, consist of 3.3V - GND - 5V - GND - 12V
  • Pin 1 is marked with L 90 degree space
