SteemFest is back with Lisbon, Portugal as the stage

Steemit, the popular social media platform where users get rewarded to post and vote online, announced the upcoming second edition of the five-day conference and fest in Lisbon, Portugal, to bring together its growing number of global enthusiasts.
SteemFest offers a stage to both "famous" and the "not-so-well-known" Steem users from all over the world, sharing their knowledge and love for their passions. The event touches down in Lisbon in seven different venues for both plenary conference days as well as social events, a blockchain curated pop-up art gallery and also a blockchain hackathon. Presentations, panels, workshops and some tourist events will be the ingredients of a dynamic five day program.

SteemFest, which will run from November 1–5, 2017, is being organized by Roeland Landegent from Amsterdam, The Netherlands, a Steem developer and entrepreneur. Announcing SteemFest, Roeland said: "After the inaugural edition last year in Amsterdam I was both demanded but also very determined to have multiple editions of the event. The purpose of SteemFest is to leverage the incredible vibe of Steemit and create an environment in which a group of diverse thinkers, technophiles, libertarians, crypto enthusiasts and creative people can congregate. SteemFest will be able to nurture new relationships, learn from each other and discuss the endless possibilities of the Steemit blockchain for blogging, apps, business and development, and have good time. The potential of the Steem blockchain is truly limitless; this is what we want to celebrate while also thinking of ways to enhance further mainstream adoption and modernize the way people can gain more for their community contributions."
