Discord summons a human from another world, but accidentally into his own body

• inspired by the Diamond Tiara human possession story A Jewel of a Problem
  • like that story, this story would show what someone would do if they were stuck in Discord’s body
    • the story Why am I Pinkie Pie?! also follows that pattern
  • Discord tries to summon a human for the same reason as in that story (to cause chaos)
• was trying to cause external chaos, but the shield on his statue was too strong – he could only make an interdimensional hole right into his statue
• Discord eventually argues with the human in his mind, causing discord, and escapes
• the human perhaps takes over Discord’s body, or convinces Discord to be nice through talking alone
• The human would be easier to write if they’re a brony, because they’ll know how Equestria works. But it might be interesting to see a naïve human be explained Discord’s point of view of Equestria.
• set before the Discord redemption episode in Season 3; this story would break at least that canon

The main focus of this prompt is a human in Discord’s body, similar to in A Jewel of a Problem. Most of the rest of the notes are just possible ways to explain that, and plot points that might follow from it. Feel free to use different plot points if you have better ideas, as long as the story has the same main focus.

flesh out the Season 3 episode about Discord’s redemption, showing what happened between Discord calling Fluttershy a friend and Discord deciding to help Celestia help ponies

• How did calling one pony a friend cause Discord to agree to leave that friend to live elsewhere and help strangers? Some part of the story is missing.
• show the story skipped in the transition at the end, at 20:37 (out of 22:04)
• goals (can leave some out of the story if there’s not enough space for them)
  • show how Discord goes from liking one pony to liking all ponies
    • show how the rest of the Main 6 befriend him, now that they’re not afraid of him doing so much evil
  • put plausible limits on Discord’s magic or his worldview to explain why, even though he’s (mostly) good, he doesn’t just snap his fingers and give everypony what they want to make them happy
    • maybe his magic is unable to cause too much “order”
    • maybe he think life would be cheapened if what everypony wants were dropped in their lap
    • maybe he’s only capable of focusing on a few small areas, and doing magic in another area cancels the magic in the first area
      • e.g. he can have magic working in Canterlot and Ponyville, and if he tried to do magic in Manehattan, the magic in Canterlot would cancel itself
  • explain the “friendship is magic” phrase he reluctantly utters at the end
    • Why would Discord be asked to admit that?
    • In what sense is it true?

This prompt is about answering questions that episode 62 leaves me with. There are many possible answers to those questions – choose the answers that make sense, and that make a good story.
