I bought snippets of real film cut from a theater reel of the original Blade Runner movie and I'd like to get a frame enlarged as a print.
Sara Blaise has the film (they're positives not negatives) in an envelope here in VT. There are 3 filmstrips in there (see below). Just please ask her to send the envelope wherever it needs to go. Please make sure the lab returns the film!
I have 3 images to choose from:
Rachael | Pris | Cityscape |
---|---|---|
Currently the thought is to go with the Rachael image. If you'd rather pick a different one, please run it by Sara Blaise first! (I love all 3, that's why I picked them.)
- I'm looking for a true optical print here, made from an enlarger. Other words to look for are analog, wet, and darkroom. The film should never be scanned, and the print should be made in a darkroom by shining light through the film. (The lab will probably need to produce an "internegative" or "interneg" first—that's fine.)
- I'm looking for a large size, ideally 40 inches wide. Yes there will be a lot of film grain at this size. I'm very fine with that.
It's really not easy to find photo labs that do true optical enlargements/prints anymore with a full analog workflow. I have been able to find a few though.
I will keep this list updated as I find more.
