Dailymotion is looking for a software engineer/architect to build tomorrow’s advertising platform. With billions of ad impressions being served on Dailymotion every month, this is a unique opportunity to combine a fun start-up environment with the massive scale of one of the largest players in the online video industry. We’re looking for someone curious, independent and a solution-oriented thinker with a strong background in highly scalable platforms.
You will design, document and develop an advertising platform with no limits on the technologies to use. This includes but is not limited to ad-serving, real time bidding, behavioral targeting, forecasting, billing management, etc... You will create scalable back-end solutions to smoothly deliver hundreds of millions of ad impressions and log billions of data points every day.
- Design, document and develop the best architecture for the product needs
- Collaborate closely with the squad's product manager and other software engineers
- Share knowledge with more junior team members via a formal mentoring relationship, review code, reviewing design docs
- Distributed systems/architecture knowledge and experience with multi-tiered mission-critical systems
- Strong programming capabilities in two of the following languages: Go, Python, Java, Scala, C++
- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks
- Demonstrated expertise in problem solving and technical innovation
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Understanding of online advertising technologies and ecosystem: RTB, VAST/VPAID, MRAID
- Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Cassandra, Storm
- Experience with R, MATLAB or Mahout
- Experience with SCRUM methodology
- Experience working with revision control systems like git
