The Code Of Conduct For The UR coding community

Foreword

A code of conduct establishes minimum expectations for behavior for all UR coding community members. We believe that adopting, and enforcing, a code of conduct can help create a positive social atmosphere for our community.

Scope

When and how to use these guidelines

  • Working on Partner teams and projects
  • Representing UR Coding Community at public events
  • Collaborating with other Community Members to team, create, problem-solve, learn/teach, and grow
  • Interacting with other community members on social media or in-person

Our Standards

UR coding community is dedicated to providing a positive experience for everyone, regardless of

  • Age
  • Ability
  • Background
  • Education
  • Family status
  • Gender
  • Gender identity or expression
  • Marital status
  • Nationality
  • Native language
  • Physical appearance
  • Place of birth
  • Religion or lack thereof
  • Sexual orientation
  • Socio-economic status

Openness, collaboration, and participation are core aspects of our work. We gain strength from diversity and actively seek participation from those who enhance it.

Expected Behavior

Our community have set of behavior that we expect from the members of our community which includes:

  • Being considerate of the action you do and their effect on you or others, and being respectful of other people’s ideas, styles and viewpoints even if sometimes they may differ from your own.
  • Being nice and polite towards other members of the community.
  • We expect sprit of collaboration from the members of our community. Even if you feel great yourself, your collaboration with other could prove to be beneficial for you and others.
  • Being Appreciative and able to accommodate the similarities and difference between you and other community.
  • Able to ask for help when unsure what to do and ready to provide constructive feedback to fellow members when it is needed.

Behavior That Is Not Tolerated

We want anybody who interact with our community to have the best possible experience and to ensure that we have listed down behaviors that are inappropriate and unacceptable in our community.

  • Violence or threat of violence to any community member whether online or offline is unaccepted.
  • Sexist, homophobic or other exclusionary language in our community is also unacceptable in our community.
  • Influencing or encouraging inappropriate behavior is another unacceptable behavior in our community.
  • Deliberate, careless intimidation, stalking, trolling, insulting or following.

Reporting a Code of Conduct Incident

We encourage community members to make a Code of Conduct incident report to the one the of the community leaders or email a report to urtechrise@gmail.com. All community leaders are obligated to respect the privacy and security of the reporter of any incident.

Modifications to these guidelines

UR may amend the guidelines from time to time and may also vary the procedures it sets out where appropriate in a particular case. Your agreement to comply with the guidelines will be deemed agreement to any changes to it.
