Bus error: 10

Bus error: 10 is an Erlang / SSL fault, not a couchdb one, usually triggered during couchdb POST _restart. i.e. pretty much only during the test suite.

I suggest running CouchDB as a daemon and not worrying about this. Notes on doing this are in the recipe's post install instructions.

If you have other issues, try doing a full remove/reinstall of the related couchdb dependencies: erlang, spidermonkey, nspr in particular and re-trying.
