Base in Ortisei/St. Ulrich (Val Gardena) Very close to Seceda ridgeline and Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm (Very popular)

  • Day 1: Visiting Lago di Carezza and arriving to Ortisei (On the way from Venice +30 m) Val d’Ega valley Parking.
  • Day 2: Visiting the Santa Maddalena church and the church of Saint John in Val di Funes, seeing the sunset in Alpe di Siusi
  • Day 3: Hiking at the Seceda ridgeline, driving through Passo Gardena, and arriving at La Villa or Cortina d’Ampezzo
  • Day 4: Renting a boat at Lago di Braies, hiking to Lago di Limides and visiting Lago di Valparola
  • Day 5: Hiking around Tre Cime di Lavaredo, hiking to Cadini di Misurina (Malga Langalm ) : Rifugio A. Locatelli Rifugio Lavaredo Rifugio Auronzo

  2. Tre Cime di Lavaredo Loop (start/end Rifugio Auronzo) - 10.6 Km 4-5 hr easy ^ 430m
  3. Cadini di Misurina (start/end Rifugio Auronzo) - 2 km 35 mins easy ^ 112m
  4. Lago di Federa /Croda da Lago Circuit (start/end Ponte de Ru Curto) - 12.5 km 6 h moderate ^ 760m
  5. Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm (start/end Compatsch parking lot) - 9.1 km ^ 170 m 2-3hr easy (sunset/sunrise with car!)
  6. Lago di Carezza (Lago di Carezza parking lot) - 1.1 km 20 min easy
  7. Seceda Ridge: Option A (start/end Ortisei-Furnes-Seceda cable car) 2.5 km 100m 1h easy
  8. Seceda Ridge: Option B (Col Raiser Cable Car) 12 km 4 h ^ 500m moderate (Rifugio Fermeda Hutte)

My suggestions would be:

  • focus on Tre Cime, Puez Odle, Croda de Lago areas
  • focus on hikes to do and places to visit (e.g. lakes, churches etc)
  • Bus is doable but has to be very well planned
  • Car will allow more exploration and avoid waiting in sun
  • Refuges: https://inafarawayland.com/mountain-huts-in-the-dolomites-info/ ~ 45-55 euros pax (See yearly membership => 50% discount)
  • Hotels in Cortina (45 - 100 euros pax)
