On February 18th, Telnyx hosted a hands-on workshop in San Francisco called "The Low Latency Club: ClawdTalk & MiniMax Workshop." The pitch was simple: show up with a laptop, deploy a voice AI agent on ClawdTalk, and ship something working before you leave. The prize for the best demo was a Mac mini.
I was invited but couldn't attend in person. The host — who works at Telnyx and co-hosts a lot of startup events around SF — is someone I've crossed paths with on various occasions. The next evening, after work, I found the GitHub repo link she'd shared. I quickly cloned it and, with Claude by my side, started making changes faster than I expected. Claude helped me rip through the boilerplate, understand the WebSocket client structure, and wire up the pieces I needed — all in a single evening session. No workshop facilitators, no live help — just me, an AI c
