create admin.local user
rename user folder to sander (do not install OneDrive or Outlook before rename):
Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/ProfileList.
There you can find a few subfolders (starting with 'S-1-5-').
Search for the folder that contains the path (that you want to change) in the registry key
named ProfileImagePath. (Example from the question: search for the value 'C:\Users\jerem').
Click on the Windows Button (at the bottom left) again and type netplwiz and click on Execute command.

Mount the partition your Ubuntu Installation is on. If you are not sure which it is, launch GParted (included in the Live CD) and find out. It is usually a EXT4 Partition. Replace the XY with the drive letter, and partition number, for example: sudo mount /dev/sda1 /mnt.

sudo mount /dev/sdXY /mnt (in my case sudo mount /dev/nvme0n1p6)

Now bind the directories that grub needs access to to detect other operating systems, like so.

Zotac remote control and LIRC on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

After upgrading Ubuntu 16.04 LTS to 20.04 LTS on my Zotac Nano HTPC the remote control did not work anymore. After quite some investigation it seemed that the the problem lies within a version bump of LIRC.

I decided to revert back to lirc 0.9.0-0ubuntu6 and reconfigure my remote using the following steps:

Delete old installations

First remove any existing installations of ir-keytable and lirc.
