    "description" : "পহেলা বৈশাখ আমাদের বাংলা পঞ্জিকার প্রথম মাস বৈশাখের ১ তারিখ বা প্রথম দিন। গ্রেগরিয়ান বর্ষপঞ্জি অনুসারে পহেলা বৈশাখ পালন করা হয় ১৪ এপ্রিল। আর তা নির্ধারণ করে দিয়েছে বাংলা একাডেমি কর্তৃপক্ষ-ই।হিন্দু সৌরপঞ্জিকা শুরু হতো গ্রেগরিয়ান পঞ্জিকায় উল্লিখিত এপ্রিল মাসের মাঝামাঝি সময়ে। তবে এই সৌরপঞ্জিকাতে বাংলার বারটি মাস অনেক বছর আগে থেকেই পালিত হয়ে আসছিল বলে দাবি করেছেন অনেক ইতিহাসবিদ। হিন্দু সৌরপঞ্জিকার আমলেও নববর্ষ বা পহেলা বৈশাখে উৎসব পালন করা হত। তবে সে উৎসব ছিল ঋতুধর্মীয় উৎসব। মূলত তখনকার কৃষিকাজ-ভিত্তিক সমাজেই নিহিত ছিল এই উৎসবের তাৎপর্য। বঙ্গ, নেপাল, ত্রিপুরা, আসাম, উড়িষ্যা, কেরালা, মনিপুর, পাঞ্জাব, তামিলনাড়ুর অধিবাসীরা পালন করত এ উৎসব। পালন করত তাদের নিজস্ব সংস্কৃতির এক অপরিহার্য অংশ হিসেবেই।",

    "description" : "বাংলাদেশে সাধারণত সৌদি আরবের একদিন পর চাঁদ দেখা যায় বলে ঈদও একদিন পর উদযাপিত হয়। রমজানও সৌদি আরবের একদিন পরই শুরু হয়েছিল। ৌদি আরবে সোমবার ছিল রমজানের ২৯তম দিন। এদিন চাঁদ দেখা গেলে মঙ্গলবার শাওয়াল মাস শুরু হত, অর্থাৎ ঈদুল ফিতর উদযাপিত হত। িন্তু সোমবার রাতে সৌদি আরব সরকার চাঁদ দেখা না যাওয়ার ঘোষণা দেয় বলে দেশটির রাষ্ট্রীয় সংবাদ সংস্থা এসপিএ জানিয়েছে। সৌদি সরকার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে, এ বছর রমজান হবে ৩০ দিনের। তাই বুধবার ঈদুল ফিতর উদযাপিত হবে। সৌদি আরবের পাশাপাশি মধ্যপ্রাচ্যের অন্য মুসলিম দেশগুলোও বুধবার ঈদুল ফিতর উদযাপনের সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে। বাংলাদেশে মঙ্গলবার চাঁদ দেখা কমিটি বৈঠকে বসবে। এদিন চাঁদ দেখা গেলে বুধবার, না গেলে বৃহস্পতিবার ঈদুল ফিতর উদযাপন করবেন বাংলাদেশের মুসলিমরা। তবে সৌদি আরবের সঙ্গে মিল রেখে বাংলাদেশের কয়েকশ গ্রামের মুসলিমরা ঈদসহ বিভিন্ন ধর্মীয় অনুষ্ঠান পালন করে থাকেন।",
