You'll always find some version of this in most South to East asian countries if you walk off the tourist paths...
BUT here the club-dius hybrids are prevalent - they'll still play music 100%, may have a live band, likely to switch to DJ through the night, a few girls will perform for garland money. It may have cool lasers - it can be a mix of everything. It's glitzy and effects galore. It's better to go as a group.
I avoid listing classic dius unless there's an event, but the hybrids tend to be more hands-off, hence safer.
