- Ironworks - Close to convention center, delicious!
- Stubb's - World famous, great lunch spot, they have a big backyard for parties & shows
- Casino El Camino - yummy burgers and beer right off 6th street (they were on Food network)
- Lambert's - Fine dining BBQ
- Stony's Pizza - So delicious (this truck wanders around downtown)
- Mmmpanadas – Empanada food truck
- Ranch 616 – Fried chicken and other Texas eats. Also Jalapeño shots worth considering.
- La Condesa - Cute mexican bistro in downtown
- Torchy's Tacos - Oh em gee that queso!
- Gourdough's (food truck) - Get the mother clucker!
- South Congress Cafe - Delicious nice meal on South Congress
- Uchi & Uchiko - Fancy sushi - best in austin
- Qui - Paul Qui's restaurant (former chef of Uchi – he also has “East Side Kings” which is a truck/food served at a variety of locations)
- Salt Lick BBQ – One of the best BBQs in Austin, if you don’t make it out there, grab a sandwich at the Airport on the way home :)
- Amy's Ice Cream - On South Congress
- Franklin's BBQ - heard it was the best in Austin though I've never been personally
